Meet Genevieve

Nice to meet you!

I’m Genevieve Daugherty (she/her), and I’m a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) and Certified Manual Lymphatic Drainage Therapist (CMLDT) who has also dove head-first into Craniosacral Therapy since the winter of 2023. As the founder and owner of Salem Massage & Lymphatics, I’m delighted to welcome you to my clinic.

Originally hailing from the East Coast, I recently provided massage and bodywork in the Portland, OR area for 10 years before relocating to Salem in 2023. I am thrilled to be supporting the fullest healing potential to this community.

My bodywork practice has always had a strong medical focus. After four years of undergraduate studies and assisting nurses with elder care, I began my massage therapy career in a medical spa and quickly moved to a medical massage clinic. I apprenticed with one of Portland’s renowned structural integration specialists and then, in 2022, became certified in manual lymphatic drainage.

After one-fourth of my jaw endured nerve damage from wisdom-teeth removal, receiving manual lymphatic drainage AND craniosacral therapy allowed me to eat pain-free for the first time in weeks. Manual lymphatic drainage and craniosacral therapy have so many sensitive, delicate benefits for a range of body-wide conditions that I was ready to provide it for my community and enrolled in the next available trainings!

Outside of work, I concoct healthy vegetable-based meals, detox from my workday’s coffee, and move my body on disc golf courses. I have a shared passion for disc golf with my fiance. I also love watching the Food Network and reading about ways to support my community.
