Welcome!
My name is Genevieve Daugherty (she/her). I’m a Licensed Massage Therapist, currently studying Craniosacral Therapy since December 2023 and have a Certification in Manual Lymphatic Drainage (Vodder Method). I’m the owner and founder of Salem Massage & Lymphatics, located in Salem, Oregon.
As a specialist in medical massage and surgical recovery, I want you to know that you can HEAL better!
If you’re dealing with any of these issues:
Abdominal or digestive problems
Post-operation recovery, swelling, or scar tissue
Jaw/TMJ dysfunction
An autoimmune flare-up
Aches, pains, stress
…I’m here to help you.
I use a trauma-sensitive, holistic, integrative approach to healing. Mental health is a priority for me and is part of how I support my patients’ experience in treatment. One way I offer this is through the Hawaiian tradition of Ho’o’ponoPono, or encouraging patients to “let go of what doesn’t serve them” as we begin our journey.
I bring a wide variety of health, wellness, and fitness background experiences to my work. Additionally, as an athlete and longtime yogi, I encourage optimal breathing for better quality of life.
I am fully vaccinated and maintain high disinfecting standards in my clinic. I will be wearing a mask during your appointment, and I may ask you to wear one as well.
My patients consistently tell me that my work transforms their lives. I want you to know that you can live with ease and abundance in your body and mind.
I am honored to join your healthcare team and will be a diligent advocate for your overall wellbeing. Lean on me, and I’ll provide the support you’re looking for.
— Genevieve

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Yes, I welcome new patients and love working with massage newbies! If you’ve never had a massage before, that’s perfectly fine.
Feel free to contact me, and I will be delighted to answer all of your questions. We’ll talk through what you can expect at your appointment — like where to park, what clothing to wear, how you will be draped with linens on the massage table — so that you can feel at ease from the moment you arrive.
-
I am not in-network or able to bill out any insurance at this time.
Superbills: I am happy to provide you with a superbill if you are seeking out-of-network reimbursement from your insurance.
-
Absolutely. I offer several modalities that reduce not only hard swelling but also scar tissue. After your session, I will provide you with tips for at-home care to support your continued recovery between massage/bodywork appointments.
-
Yes! We will guide your breath to circulate through your whole body and allow you to release the pattern of holding it in a restricted way. As a result, this will ease the flow of immune support and nutrients to your tissues, which will help with healing and increase your energy.
-
Absolutely. I can help you relieve endo symptoms by releasing inflammatory responses externally through your pelvis and trunk, by reducing structural imbalances that keep the dysfunctioning pattern happening, and with lymphatic drainage to circulate (and reduce) swelling — along with other tips and tricks I’ve learned over many years, which I’ll also share with you.
